Fall

I had this image saved on pinterest on my fall outfits board.

I simply cannot wait until it starts to get a bit colder. It is already under 70 degrees out here, which is much different from back home in California. I secretly have always loved sweaters and have too many for being from California. When I was assessing what I need to buy to winterize my wardrobe, all I really need are some tights and maybe some new boots. I have a ton of sweaters and coats. I always made sure that I had a nice sweater even in the summer because they always kept it super cold at the hospital I used to work at. I am going to dust off my boots and pull out some of my lighter sweaters.

At the moment I find that I am obsessed with hot tea and yummy bubble tea. Yummy tea keeps me nice and warm. Hopefully I won't be too miserable my first winter in Indiana. I have been told that I have no idea what cold really is, LOL I believe them too.

I have no plans for today, well I did plan on going to the gym early this morning, but I fell asleep pretty late since I was reading a book last night. I didn't get to bed until 2am and was planning to go to the gym as soon as the mister got home around 5:45, but I was way too tired. I might end up going in a couple of hours instead.

I need to start working on my homework, I have been slacking a little bit. I am working on a humanities and art paper that I want need to submit by the end of this week. I have never been a big art buff, but at this point I just want to get this paper over with. I was able to go visit the museum of art downtown and got to see some paintings that I was writing about, that was very nice. I am planning to go back for a fun visit with the kids before it gets too cold.

I am off to work on my paper for a little bit and then heading off to the gym before I make excuses.

Organizing

I have been struggling in finding the perfect solution in storing all of my things. I recycled this "hair bow" board that I made a while back. I used binder clips for some and then used lined alligator clips to hold some of the lighter necklaces.

On the right side, I bought a cork board from the dollar store and plan on using it for my earrings. I used some scrap booking pins to hold my hoop earring and bracelets.

I love our new place, I just have to find a place for everything and then I will feel right at home. This is a nail polish rack that my husband made for me when we were still in California. I need to find a spot for it, it is currently sitting on my desk behind my computer screen. I need to find somewhere I can put it where it is visible but out of the way.

I might just end up putting it in the walk in closet. I also was able to reuse one of my scrapbook storage drawers for my makeup. It has 3 drawers and now sits next to my bathroom sink. I may end up finding a new space for it, since it makes the vanity look a bit messy, but I have not decided yet.

Running Away

It seems like an eternity has passed since I last blogged. We made it to our new home safe and sound. It was a crazy adventure that seemed to have lasted a life time. The moment I saw the welcome to Indiana sign I felt so relived to finally be home.
